Es tambi\u00e9n investigador del Centro de Estudios \u00d1uble de la Universidad del B\u00edo-B\u00edo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u00e9sar Salazar posee un PhD en Econom\u00eda de la Universidad de Copenhague, Dinamarca, y un Magister en Econom\u00eda de los Recursos Naturales y del Medio Ambiente de la Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n. Previamente, obtuvo el grado de Licenciado en Econom\u00eda y el t\u00edtulo de Ingeniero Comercial en la Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n. Su investigaci\u00f3n se centra en aplicaciones emp\u00edricas de la teor\u00eda microecon\u00f3mica del desarrollo a diversos problemas relacionados con la explotaci\u00f3n y la gesti\u00f3n del ambiente y los recursos naturales, particularmente en los sectores de la pesca, la acuicultura y la agricultura. Tambi\u00e9n tiene intereses de investigaci\u00f3n en problemas asociados con el comportamiento pol\u00edtico, capital social e instituciones. Ha escrito sobre el impacto de los eventos clim\u00e1ticos en la asignaci\u00f3n de cultivos y el desempe\u00f1o del mercado agr\u00edcola, y la interacci\u00f3n entre la adopci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00eda y el seguro agr\u00edcola. Tambi\u00e9n ha investigado las implicaciones econ\u00f3micas y de gesti\u00f3n de los contratos a la parte en la pesca artesanal y agricultura, las transiciones hacia la acuicultura de peque\u00f1a escala y el rendimiento ambiental en la industria acu\u00edcola. Recientemente, sus intereses de investigaci\u00f3n se han centrado en el dise\u00f1o y evaluaci\u00f3n de intervenciones de pol\u00edtica basadas en incentivos econ\u00f3micos y de comportamiento para reducir el consumo de pl\u00e1stico e incrementar el reciclaje, con implicancias para el manejo de los residuos y los oc\u00e9anos. Los resultados de su investigaci\u00f3n han sido publicados en revistas cient\u00edficas internacionales de alto impacto que incluyen, <em>American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Journal of Environmental Management, Marine Resource Economics, Food Policy, The Journal of Development Studies, The Australian Journal of Agricultural and Resources Economics, Environment and Development Economics, Aquaculture Economics &amp; Management<\/em>, entre otros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El doctor Salazar se ha desempe\u00f1ado como consultor economista para varias instituciones p\u00fablicas y privadas, como el Gobierno de la Regi\u00f3n del Biob\u00edo, la Subsecretar\u00eda de Pesca y Acuicultura (SUBPESCA), la Subsecretaria de Desarrollo Regional (SUBDERE), el Instituto Nacional de Desarrollo Agr\u00edcola (INDAP), Servicio Nacional de Capacitaci\u00f3n y Empleo (SENCE), Endesa (Grupo ENEL), entre otros.
