Una destacada participaci\u00f3n tuvo el estudiante del Doctorado en Econom\u00eda y Gesti\u00f3n de la Informaci\u00f3n, Crist\u00f3bal V\u00e1zquez, quien particip\u00f3 presentando su primer cap\u00edtulo de su tesis doctoral en la 18th Enviromnent for Development Annual Meeting que se realiz\u00f3 en Nairobi, Kenia, entre el 3 y 6 de octubre del 2024. La investigaci\u00f3n se titul\u00f3 \u201cRegional Disparities in Industrial Solid Waste Generation and Treatment in Chile: A Spatial-Temporal Approach.\u201d El estudiante particip\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n en su rol de coordinador del Centro de Econom\u00eda Ambiental (EfD-Chile) alojado en la Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n, el cual forma parte de la Red Internacional de Econom\u00eda ambiental que organiza el congreso. El estudiante obtuvo financiamiento directo de esta red para cubrir los costos de su estad\u00eda y pasaje para participar en este encuentro. En la instancia, Crist\u00f3bal tuvo la oportunidad de recibir retroalimentaci\u00f3n de su investigaci\u00f3n y generar contactos acad\u00e9micos que le servir\u00e1n en el desarrollo de su proyecto de tesis doctoral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
